Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi was discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Tuesday around 3 pm after being admitted with a viral infection.
Dr Ajay Swaroop, Chairman Board of Management at the hospital confirmed the news. She was accompanied by her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra when admitted to the hospital on Wednesday.
On Friday, doctors at the hospital stated she was stable and recovering well.
A statement from the hospital stated that “Mrs Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson UPA, who is admitted at the hospital for a viral respiratory infection is stable and is making a gradual recovery”.
