Last year, Nikki Tamboli was linked to an investigation into an extortion case worth Rs 200 crore involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. In September 2022, the Delhi Police took Nikki and another actress to Tihar jail to recreate their alleged meeting with Sukesh as part of the ongoing probe. It is said that Nikki met Sukesh through Pinky Irani, who was reportedly a close aide and friend of the conman. Nikki claims that Pinky introduced Sukesh to her as a South Indian producer named ‘Shekhar’. She allegedly met Sukesh twice inside the Tihar Jail in Delhi.
